Our Final Music Video

Rough Cut 3

After getting feedback on our rough cuts 1 and 2, we created a 3rd and final rough cut to gain any minor feedback on before completing and producing our final music video.





Feedback

• Strong narrative
• Remove clip of man singing "to sleep"
• Adjust clip of man and woman on  sofa
• Change clip of mans hands on piano- not realistic
• Lip syncing works well

Rough Cut 2

Using the feedback from our rough cut 1, we improved and developed our music video before showing it again to the teacher to gain more feedback in order to make our video as best as possible.




Feedback

• I like the repeated pans from left to right
• The piano bit don't convince me- doesn't look like he's playing in time to the song
• You can see the fire exit in the background in one of the performance shots
• He finishes playing the piano before the music stops
• Different photo at the end would be nice
• Add clip of old man singing

Rough Cut 1

Below is the first rough cut for our music video, as it was a first draft, there were still some improvements to be made so we received feedback for us to work on in order to create a rough cut 2.



Feedback Given

Lovely narrative

Feel it may need a little more performance in there

At the old person section the jump from kids to performance is slightly odd

It would be nice for the older man to sing the song, so it connects a little more with the young man

Try having the memories/future in black and white to see if it adds anything?

Maybe end with a photo of them together?

A few jumpy shots and the bit with the remote control is a bit too slow
